Jnana Karma Sannyasa Yoga
ज्ञानकर्मसंन्यासयोग — The Yoga of Knowledge and the Renunciation of Action · 42 verses
Summary
Krishna reveals that he taught this yoga in ancient times and that he takes birth in every age whenever dharma declines, to protect the good and restore righteousness. He explains how to see “inaction in action and action in inaction” — the wise act fully yet remain free because they are not attached. Many kinds of sacrifice are described, and knowledge is called the highest, like a fire that burns all karma to ashes. Arjuna is urged to cut his doubt with the sword of knowledge and stand up.
