Do Ghati Muhurat

The Vedic day is divided into 30 muhurtas of two ghatis each — fifteen from sunrise to sunset and fifteen through the night. Each has a name and presiding deity and is traditionally good or bad for beginning work. The eighth daytime muhurta is the famous Abhijit.
